Email Set-Up

Up Application Form Email Set-Up

For those members who have been given email accounts with ACCCC.NET, the following is the procedure for accessing you email:

  1. Open your web browser and go to http://acccc.net/webmail/
  2. You should see the vDeck WebMail system login page.
  3. Type in your email address for the user name (usually firstname.lastname) and the domain name (acccc.net) so that the first entry line appears:  firstname.lastname @ acccc.net
  4. Type in your password
  5. Click Login.
  6. You should now be logged into the webmail system.

Changing Your Password

New Email Account Users: please change your password before logging into webmail for the first time.  The procedure for changing your email password is as follows:

  1. Go to the following internet address: http://acccc.net/vdeck
  2. Enter your complete email address as you username (e.g. firstname.lastname@acccc.net)
  3. Enter the password assigned to you by the webmaster.
  4. Click Login.
  5. Click on Edit on the first line of options (mail stored on server/mail forwarded), which will take you to the edit email page
  6. Enter your new password
  7. You may elect to forward your acccc.net email to another email address rather than checking it through the club's webmail.  Enter the forwarding email address(es) in the appropriate box.
  8. Click Update when you are done

 

Outlook Integration

Rather than logging into webmail to check your messages, you may handle them through MS Outlook.  Each version of Outlook (or Outlook Express) is slightly different so set-up procedures vary from version to version.  In Outlook 2003 go to Tools | Email Accounts, and add new email account.  Once you find the account set-up page in Outlook or Outlook Express, use the following information for setting up your email:

  1. Your Name - the name you want to appear as the sender of the email.
  2. Email Address - firstname.lastname@acccc.net
  3. Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - mail.acccc.net
  4. Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - mail.acccc.net
  5. Username - firstname.lastname@acccc.net
  6. Password - the new password that you have picked for yourself in the above procedure
  7. Select Remember Password - if you don't want to keep entering it when you check your emails
  8. You may also have to select "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication", depending upon your email program.
